Editing and Developing

This is the editing studio I used to edit my documentary. My first choice was eiditng app VN studios, however I was having technical issues as the clips I first had it to install a pack for windows and then the app itself was having toruble processing my recodings to tried adobe, found it as complicated as last year so went with Corel video studio instead as the backup plan and as I used it last year, I already knew what direciton to take so it was easier for me, but it did take many hours to be fair to edit the documentary

Here I started cutting down the footage which following the previous plan I made, it was easier to know which and up till what minutes to cut and include 

I decided to just use the first track for my soundtrack (sound volume 10 as I wanted the dialogue to be heard) I knew what order of clips I wanted as I had previously ordered and selcted them. I wanted to create a journey anbd narraitve starting with the artworks inspirations and working through the studios ideas into the programming and development of the piece.

I wanted a single shot of their ideas on paper, to have a visual representation on paper of their ideas so audiences could understand the direction we were going at

I wanted to include clips at every stage of the piece and how they programme their ideas which influence the look and style of it therefore reinfording that idea of a journey behind the produciton process for audiences. Im sitll cutting minutes and including others

Here, Im trying out how the title page would look as I was waiting for the rest of the footage to download. I was looking at effects I liked

I was able to cut down about 6:10 minutes of documentary to 5:10 minutes. Had to shorten some clips and completely delete others. Thankfully the footage didnt requite me to add effects or transitions as the cuts worked fine especially considering this is a documentary. However I did ad about one fade with a match so the cut wasnt as harsh, and a fade to black at the end so it matches the compositon and style of the last clip
